Meet Leah

I know its been months since I've posted but I'm back to share the news of our newest family member. Leah Kamili (Ka-my-lee) Fowers was born 15 days early (YAY!) on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 12:38 am. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. At first we thought she looked nothing like her big sister Mallory but we now see some resemblances. And along with that I also did not have to have a c-section this time which has made a world of difference in my recovery. I feel so blessed to have her with us and that the delivery ended up going so well at the end (it was a roller coaster of a day).

A shot of me when I was still feeling good.

Another shot of me feeling good (I skipped all the not feeling good pics)

One really tired but very happy mommy.

Daddy rocking his new girl.

Mallory came to visit the next day. She loves her new sister.

Ready to go home.

So excited to be in normal clothes and to leave the hospital with Leah.

Mallory is 2!

We can't believe Mallory is already 2 years old. She is so fun to be around and its amazing watching her absorb everything that is around her. We celebrated over a couple days, starting the day before. She had a Super 2nd Birthday party with 2 of her bestest friends. Though many of you saw the pictures on Facebook already, here are some for those who didn't. It was super hero themed and it turned out so dang cute. Plus the girls had so much fun which is what the whole point of it was. I was happy that they were happy.

It was so fun planning out and making these capes, cuffs and headbands for the girls to wear!

They looked so dang cute in them!!!!! This is them at the coloring wall.

Super Mallory with her muffin. Love this shot!

Super Lily wanted to eat and play so she moved her food to where all the fun was happening. It was really funny!

So after bubbles, and coloring, and parachute time, and obstacle courses, these super heroes were worn out!

Later that day, my mom came by to celebrate with Mallory. She got her a Dora cell phone. Do you think she likes it?

She also got her a super Dora coloring/sticker book. She loves to color in it inside of what she calls her "boat" (her pool she got for the back patio).

Then on Saturday, her actual birthday, we had a 2 year photo shoot then headed to San Diego. We had family friends in from out of town so we all got together to see everyone, plus we did a cake for Mallory. This is Mallory and Grandma in the backyard of the Brown's house in the cardboard playhouse. It was a big hit.

Birthday Girl!

She has always loved trees. I don't know where she get it from but it is difficult for Mallory to pass by a tree without giving it loves first.

And then of course, every six months (once in December the other on her birthday) we mark her height on our growth chart.

Overall, she had a great birthday full of fun. She couldn't have been happier!

Let the Beach Fun Begin!!!

We had our first beach trip of the season on Saturday, May 29th. It was perfect weather so we took our beach cruisers and headed over to Huntington Beach (our favorite) for riding and playing in the sand. Mallory had a blast, of course. We had so much fun we went again on Memorial Day too! I plan on spending some serious quality time there this summer especially since our Disneyland passes our blacked out. Why fight the crowds when you can chillax at the beach????

On the whale's tail with Daddy, patiently waiting for some lunch.

She's pointing at the police helicopter that was flying really low in circles just over our heads.

Back to business...playing with the sand.

Memorial Beach Day

Proof that I was actually there.

She loves the ocean and Daddy loves taking her in the water.

She loved being buried in the sand.

Nap time on the body board????

1 is such a lonely number...

...so we've decided to go for #2. Baby number two is due November 2! We are excited to finally get the news out. Not only are we announcing that baby is coming we are also announcing that baby is a....GIRL! That's right, another girl to add to our bunch. I couldn't be more excited about it. We went yesterday to Ultrasound Me in Costa Mesa for an elective ultrasound to find out what we are having. I'm nearly 15 weeks but they can check gender as early as 13. Anyways, baby's legs were crossed at her ankles just about the entire time which made it difficult to get a clear view. Mallory came with us and was not a happy camper. I think the dark room and seeing Mommy laying down freaked her out, so finally Brad had to take her on a walk. As soon as he left the room the technician said, "Oh, Baby is just shy in front of Dad". Ha. So she went and got him and then told us both. She said she is 97% sure so we are pretty certain that Mallory will have a sister. I'm already planning the clothes I can make for her....can't wait!

Mallory seriously cracks us up these days. She is constantly putting additional clothes and accesories on. My biggest fear is that she already has a serious shoe addiction. If we take her shoes off we have to put them out of sight or she will want them on all day. All day long she goes in and out of our closet with a different shoe on. It is pretty funny watching her try to walk in all of our shoes, though I must admit she has some skill at it. She also has an obsession with jackets and sunglasses. Hopefully it is just a stage or she is going to spend every last penny we have when she gets older.

I was going through Mallory's closet and found her flip flops from this summer. She had to wear them, even over her socks. Two seconds later she found her jacket on the floor and had to have that on too. Didn't help that she didn't have any pants on but it made for a really cute picture.

While coloring with Daddy with her new markers, we have to take her clothes off in order to save them from her artistic designs. But of course she needed her shoes on!

Here she is with my running visor and shoe on. Just like Mommy :)

She also had to try Grandma's boots.

Here she is in my sweater. She looks like Yoda to me.

Playing in Daddy's shirt...

and his jacket!

And on to my sunglasses.

Lookin' good.
I love all of this. It is so fun to see what she will do next. She is the BEST!

Yes, we are alive...just blog lazy!

Hello! To the two or three people that actually read this blog, I apologize for not updating. Its hard to find time but here is a little update from late December. We went on a family hike a few days after Christmas while Brad was still home from work. We went up to Aliso Woods and hiked up to Dripping Rock. It was nice just to get outside and have fun together. Here are some pics of our adventure.

Lovin' the backpack Auntie Amy got us a while back for Mallory!

We let Mallory out on the way back. Needless to say, she loved the freedom!

This hat seriously cracks me up! (Looks like it cracks Mallory up too!)
